| I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man It wasn't any secret i'd be asking for her hand I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself with at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf - Chorus - She was playing Cinderella She was riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin Dancing with her dad, looking up at him In her eyes i'm Prince Charming But to him i'm just some fella riding in and stealing Cinderella I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?" I said "Yes, she quite a woman" and he just stared at me Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be Playing Cinderella Riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin Dancing with her dad, looking up at him In her eyes i'm Prince Charming But to him i'm just some fella riding in and stealing Cinderella He slapped me on the shoulder Then he called her in the room When she threw her arms around him That's when I could see it too Playing Cinderella Riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin Dancing with her dad, looking up at him If he gives me a hard time I can't blame the fella I'm the one who's stealing Cinderella I heard this song this morning and it almost made me cry at work. I'm so sentimental when it comes to fairy tales:) Its really a sweet song! | | |
| My favorite week of the summer is here. It is pouring the rain and thindering, but I'm going to the FAIR tonight. I wouldn't miss it. I even went to college late for it. The fair is amazing I has a gyro already last night and think some french fries and peach ice cream are in order for the evening. And I get to take Travis. That makes it even better. He showed pigs at his fair (which I'm going to visit on Saturday, to square dane...) just like me. I'm excited. Only 45 more minutes of work before THE FAIR! :itsfinallyhere: Kate | | |
| I was just thinking how boring my life would be if I were not an optomist.... Last night I almost got killed by fireworks that we were setting off illegally, but, in hind sight, it was awesome.... Travis wrote me a song for our "annivesary".... or rather the day before.... I stink at bowling, but its fun I get to go to church camp in 2 days! :lovinthegoodlife: Kate Boo on the CPA Exam.... | | |
| So let me tell you first that I love my birthday. Not only is it a day for me, but it is, in my mind, the start of spring... which I love because watching things grow is a favorite past-time. That being said, my birthday was Tuesday and it was my first one in the "real world." I have been out of school for a year now! I had to work until 5 and then had a CPA review class in Cleveland. I figured I'd get home around 10 and that would be it. Now, people called all day and mom bought me flowers and cards and stuff which was awesome, but I figured I'd have to wait until this weekend when a bunch of people are coming over for Kurk and my birthdays and then we're going square dancing. Anyway, I asked my mom for a boyfriend for my birthday and I had a particular "boy" in mind. I had talked to him throughout the day (and in hindsight, this makes much more sense) and on my way home from class that night. When I get home, there is a note on my door to open the box on my porch. It is a HUGE box. So I open it and there are roses on top and a note that says that if I still want a boyfriend to keep digging. I do (of course) and TRAVIS IS IN THE BOX! He drove all the way from OVU in the middle of finals week and a thunderstorm to surprise me on my birthday. He asked me to be his girlfriend, and that was the best birthday present ever! So, there you go. A good story, straight out of Hollywood and into Wellington, Ohio, to make a rather dull 23rd birthday the best ever! :loveyatrav: Kate | | |
| Finally! Tax season is over, I got to see Mandy, Leah and Travis this weekend, I saw the sun so much that my nose is red and will soon peel, I think my bosses might pay me back close to $2000 for my CPA review, I'll be done with the first round of exams May 12..... And I am HAPPY. Tired, but perfectly content. My birthday is a week from tomorrow, I'll be 23. And then, on May 17, I leave for a week and a few days in CHINA!! I got my visa this weekend. Thanks to Travis and his mom. It was a wonderful, warm and enlightning weekend too. :itfeelsgoodtobehappyagain: Kate | | |
